Amsterdam loft with lots of gorgeous linen

Here is a space that transcends the category of “urban warehouse loft.”

This 18th century Amsterdam warehouse on one of the city’s famous canals was converted to a living space by the Dutch design firm UXUS.  The original open plan of the 2700 square foot space has been retained along with all the original wood architectural elements.  Heavy linen curtain walls create smaller spaces within the larger space, retaining the openness and volume of the original.  I love the softening effect of the linen, and the way it modulates the light.  In my book there is no such thing as too much linen.
